Originating in ancient China, Sic Bo, meaning "dice pair", is one of the lesser known casino games. What a shame because Sic Bo is one of the most entertaining casino games I’ve ever played. The game involves the rolling of three dice. Players win money if they guess the correct outcome of these dice. Payouts include guessing the outcome of individual numbers, specific doubles, specific triples, the total of the three rolled dice, etc. Once the three dice get rolled and tumbled, they are then displayed to the players. Once the dealer punches in the winning combination, results then get lit up and displayed on the Sic Bo table. Lets look at some of the winning bets in this rather interesting casino game.

Winning Sic Bo Bets

1-6: Players may select any specific number from 1 to 6. If your chosen number appears only once, you get paid at the rate of 1 to 1. If your chosen number appears twice, you get paid at the rate of 2 to 1. If your chosen number appears 3 times, you get paid at the rate of 3 to 1.

4: Wins if total of dice is equal to 4. Pays 60 to 1 at most casinos.

5: Wins if total of dice is equal to 5. Pays 30 to 1 at most casinos.

6: Wins if total of dice is equal to 6. Pays 17 to 1 at most casinos.

7: Wins if total of dice is equal to 7. Pays 12 to 1 at most casinos.

8: Wins if total of dice is equal to 8. Pays 8 to 1 at most casinos.

9: Wins if total of dice is equal to 9. Pays 6 to 1 at most casinos.

10: Wins if total of dice is equal to 10. Pays 6 to 1 at most casinos.

11: Wins if total of dice is equal to 11. Pays 6 to 1 at most casinos.

12: Wins if total of dice is equal to 12. Pays 6 to 1 at most casinos.

13: Wins if total of dice is equal to 13. Pays 8 to 1 at most casinos.

14: Wins if total of dice is equal to 14. Pays 12 to 1 at most casinos.

15: Wins if total of dice is equal to 15. Pays 17 to 1 at most casinos.

16: Wins if total of dice is equal to 16. Pays 30 to 1 at most casinos.

17: Wins if total of dice is equal to 17. Pays 50 to 1 at most casinos.

Small: Wins if total of the dice is between 4 and 10 (excluding triple 1, 2 or 3). Wins are paid at the rate of 1 to 1.

Big: Wins if total of the dice is between 11 and 17 (excluding triple 4 and 5). Wins are paid at the rate of 1 to 1.

Two of a kind: Players may bet on any of the 15 possible two dice combinations appearing in the winning results (for example a 1 and 6). Winning bets are paid at the rate of 5 to 1 at most casinos.

Double: Wins if player correctly guesses a specific pair of numbers appearing in the winning results (for example two 3’s). Pays 10 to 1 at most casinos.

A specific Triple: Players may bet on any specific triples appearing in the winning results. Player wins if all three dice match their bet. Pays 180 to 1 at most casinos.

Any Triple: Wins if any triple combination, or any three of a kind, appears in the winning results. Pays 30 to 1 at most casinos.

In Conclusion

If you want to win at Sic Bo, I recommend sticking to bets that pay 1:1, as these have the greatest chance for success. If you want to have fun, and want to try and win a lot of money, then I recommend betting on any specific triple (as it pays 180:1). If you want to have some fun, and increase your chances at winning some money, then I recommend betting on small, or big. Either way, give the game of Sic bo a try. It would be a shame if everyone didn’t play this exciting game at least once in their lives.
